Technology and Gambling

September 26th, 2018 Posted by Tools and Technology No Comment yet

Gambling has been around almost as long time, which is no surprise given that it’s human nature to feel excited and take risks! The first evidence of gambling came from 2300 BC where tiles have been found that appear to have been used for a simple game of chance. Gambling was then mentioned in 500 BC by Sophocles showing that the Greeks and Romans gambled frequently.

OmniTalk – New Year’s Resolutions

February 1st, 2018 Posted by OmniTalk No Comment yet

As quickly as they are broken every single year, people still make New Year’s Resolutions. Why? It seems like it is just an exercise in defeatism. Amazon – The Little Website That Could

January 10th, 2018 Posted by Business Development, Tools and Technology 2 comments

Amazon initially launched by Jeff Bezos in 1995 as an online bookstore with the name “Cadabra”. Bezos also toyed around with the name “Relentless” and to this day Relentless.com will redirect you to Amazon.com. Bezos always saw Amazon as a technology company, and he had an untraditional business approach for Amazon which he referred to as “Get Big Fast”. “Get Big Fast” was Bezo’s plan to quickly expand Amazon to be larger than any other Internet retailer through low profit margins. This strategy caused the company to survive the Dot-com bubble of the late 1900’s and early 2000’s, and motivated Amazon to expand beyond a simple online bookstore.

A harmonious workplace not only makes work more enjoyable, but makes all workers more productive. You get more done with people you can easily work with, and this is why we devoted this blog to writing about how to improve harmony within the office.

How to Humanize Your Brand

September 6th, 2017 Posted by Business Development, How To No Comment yet

Picture Your Brand as a Person

If you want to humanize your brand then you need to start by picturing your brand with a human personality. This may seem odd, but it is much easier to assign a personality and specific traits to a person than it is to a logo or company name. By thinking about your brand as a person you can think about the traits that define that person and decide upon the actions that such person would take. Once you imagine a personality for your brand you can easily begin using this mentality to humanize your brand and define it in the way you desire. Picturing your brand as a person may seem strange, but once you sit down and decide upon the person you want your brand to be, then you can easily begin manipulating your company’s actions and logos to fit that personality and truly humanize your brand.

Dear Old Mom

Everybody has a mother and might have been searching to find out the date of that special Sunday this year known as Mother’s Day, or looking for brunch spots, or even a great gift idea. It turns out, some people even know how to punctuate Mother’s Day correctly. You see the term “Mother Day” earned 41.2 million search results, while “Mother’s Day” (with an apostrophe ‘s’) received just 5.4 million results. Though mothers are honored around the world in different ways, there are a few American traditions that I searched for the purpose of this blogpost.

OmniTalk – Easter, A Super Sweet Tribute

April 30th, 2017 Posted by OmniTalk No Comment yet

Who Knew that Easter is the leading candy holiday?

A recent article on the website Refinery29.com quoted an estimate of 90 million chocolate bunnies would be purchased for Easter 2017. Ninety Million! The population of the United States is 321.4 million as of 2015. That means 28% of the entire population wakes up on Easter to a chocolate treat in a basket of plastic grass. That equals more than the population of California, Texas, and New York combined! Good thing that rabbits multiply quickly. They also referred the National Retail Federation’s prediction that $2.6 billion would be spent just on Easter candy in 2017. Here is the complete article.
