The Importance of Gratitude in Online Marketing

Gratitude is an important trait for everyone to have. When someone opens a door for us we say, “Thank You” and the same should be done with online marketing. Oftentimes, we are all grateful for our customers and followers but we often forget to thank them and show how much they mean to us. This blog is meant to encourage everyone to show gratitude through online marketing. In showing gratitude, you can easily make your customers or clients happier, and this should be every company’s ultimate goal: to satisfy customers.

Simply Saying “Thank You”

We often underestimate the power of simply saying “thank you”. Saying thank you can be as simple as sending out a thank you card/email or as extravagant as sending a gift like a box of cookies. Thank you’s can also become automated depending on your business. For example, say a client fills out a form or orders something from your website than you can have a thank you page pop up after their submission is complete. Additionally, saying thank you can be done on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. Responding to a tweet with “thank you” is much more powerful than simply liking someone’s tweet, and will likely find that people are more likely to follow you and stay in touch if you personally respond rather than just favoriting a tweet. This is why so many big companies have Twitters devoted simply to customer service and responding to customers tweeting at them. A thank you can go a long way and you do not want to miss out on business simply because you did not take the time to thank someone.

Rewarding Loyal Customers

If your business has frequent customers, then you should set up a program to reward them. These customers can often be the core of your business, and you want to ensure that you keep these customers happy and show them how much you mean to them. This rewards system can be elaborate using points or can be something simple like just sending a discount or a present annually. These things may seem tedious, but in the end, a small act of kindness can go a long way.

Happy ClientsBenefits of Gratitude

Client Interaction

By interacting with clients and expressing gratitude, you can build stronger relations with your customers. These strong relations are crucial as they keep your customers coming back, and after all it is much easier to retain existing clients than to work to get new ones.

Referrals

One of the key benefits of gratitude is not only keeping your network strong, but also expanding your network. If you satisfy your clients then odds are they will recommend their friends to your business and only help your business further. This chain of reactions can show just how powerful a simple thank you can be.

In conclusion, expressing gratitude is something so simple yet so beneficial. As a businessman, I know how meaningful clients are and I try to always express my deepest sincere appreciation to them. Odds are you too are thankful for your customers, but you may also be forgetting to express this to them. Hence, you should adjust your online marketing strategy to convey this genuine gratitude to your customers – you may just be surprised by the results.
