Gambling has been around almost as long time, which is no surprise given that it’s human nature to feel excited and take risks! Amazon – The Little Website That Could

January 10th, 2018 Posted by Business Development, Tools and Technology No Comment yet

Amazon initially launched by Jeff Bezos in 1995 as an online bookstore with the name “Cadabra”. Bezos also toyed around with the name “Relentless” and to this day Relentless.com will redirect you to Amazon.com. Bezos always saw Amazon as a technology company, and he had an untraditional business approach for Amazon which he referred to as “Get Big Fast”. “Get Big Fast” was Bezo’s plan to quickly expand Amazon to be larger than any other Internet retailer through low profit margins. This strategy caused the company to survive the Dot-com bubble of the late 1900’s and early 2000’s, and motivated Amazon to expand beyond a simple online bookstore.

Why Content is King

July 5th, 2017 Posted by Business Development, Experts, How To, Tools and Technology No Comment yet

Content is the most important thing on your website – it’s that simple. Your website can be the most visually appealing or the most technologically advanced, but none of it will matter if you have poor content. There is a reason why the New York Times and Wall Street Journal remain popular despite the emergence of new news sites: it is because they place a high value on keeping quality content and customers recognize this. The same idea applies for businesses and websites and that is why we are devoting this blog to talking about how to create and maintain quality content.

Elon Musk & Team are Brilliant!

I’m not much of a car guy.

I’m not much of a technology guy either.

Elon Musk and Tesla Motors first caught my eye when I put solar panels on my roof and dropped my electricity bill from $400 to $75 a month. It only seemed fitting that I use these savings to buy something electric. Three years ago the electric car market was not very stylish and not much has changed since. That is except for the Tesla Motors Model S. This car was a first of its kind and immediately drew my attention, but I was hesitant to purchase it and questions began to cloud my conscience. Was I insane to put a deposit down on a car that was only in prototype? Would it be a disaster like the soon to find out Fisker Karma? Would I have range anxiety if I ventured out of So Cal? Will my wife divorce me when she finds out I made a large financial decision without her okay? So many questions at the time, but three years later that same car has exceeded all previous expectations. My wife even likes the car.

What I do know is marketing!

Since I was born, I have been figuring out ways to profitably market my ideas. Elon Musk hit the nail on the head when he said that marketing is all about relationships. Word of mouth goes back to the beginning of time as the key way people are motivated to buy. Through Tesla’s next-level technology and superior experience, Musk created a very powerful network of affluent mouths and soon Tesla cars were spreading across the nation like wildfire. Other automobile manufacturers start at the affordable level and spend lots of money to promote but end up with mixed results. Tesla, on the other hand, built the high end vehicles first and let the outstanding experience do the talking. Now Elon is taking it a step further to reward the Model S owners through an opportunity to promote that experience to their family, friends, and colleagues with $1,000 going to the buyer and $1,000 going to the Tesla bird dog.How cool is this? Click http://ts.la/john1020 to start the process of buying your Tesla online with $1,000 in savings going to the new buyer. No aggressive auto salespeople! No more stinky gasoline stations! Go into the diamond lane by yourself! Design it exactly the way you want it! Not to mention you will love every minute behind the wheel! At Omnibeat we love marketing and technology to help our clients promote their products and services. I can’t help but applaud what Elon and the Tesla Motors team have done to break the mold in the car market while simultaneously promoting green technology. If you are thinking about getting a Telsa, give me a call at (562) 881-6000 to take mine for a spin.

Facebook Success – Rubber Hitting the Road

March 31st, 2015 Posted by Business Development, How To, Tools and Technology No Comment yet

As Digital Marketing specialists, we are often asked how can advertising in places like Facebook really make a difference and bring a solid return on investment. In this case with Parkers Lighthouse & Queensview Steakhouse, it was a rather simple campaign to create awareness. We asked a simple question to fans and friends which gave them an opportunity to win a $50 gift card. The concept was to post the promotion of a $50 gift card and ask them to “like” Parkers Lighthouse & Queensview Steakhouse if they hadn’t already, to “like” and “share” the post, and to comment if they preferred surf or turf. A winner was randomly selected and given a $50 gift card. This was relatively simple and tremendously effective.

The results came in and over 10,000 people were reached by the post. The post received more than 300 likes, 137 shares and 105 comments. It turned out to be pretty much 50/50 on surf or turf with many comments suggesting it is best to enjoy both at the same time!

The result and follow-up: The winner from the Long Beach area took a photograph of her food she was enjoying while using her $50 gift card from Parkers Lighthouse and posted it on Facebook. It really did turn out to be a great win-win situation. It depends upon the industry and the goals of the company; but, Facebook can be a valuable tool to harness the followers of a company and to promote something in a way that with small outlay can have a much bigger return and reward in the long run. We’re excited to share this example with you and would be glad to assist in any way to help you have a similar success in your business.

Blog Paralyzation

March 2nd, 2015 Posted by Business Development, How To, Tools and Technology No Comment yet

Blog ParalyzationIt seems like the mention of a blog puts business owners in a very awkward position. Blog writing is a task they don’t really want to tackle and they aren’t sure where to start. They are often unsure if their ideas are good enough; therefore, they end up completely paralyzed. As members of the Digital Marketing industry, we believe that content is king. The best leaders in a field/industry put together content that is then published to showcase their expertise while providing helpful information to clients and prospects. The paralyzation occurs when the leader’s ideas are whizzing around in their head but never end up formulated into a published blog article. We even experience this here at Omnibeat. You would think the cobbler’s kids should have shoes but sometimes we are also paralyzed when it comes to content development. I am now exercising new techniques that I am also passing on to our clients. These techniques provide solutions by allowing them to be creative, to have fun, and to publish good content that people will truly appreciate. Hopefully it will drive readers, and prospects, to feel more confident working with an expert in the industry.

My tips for releasing your blog paralyzation:

  1. Keep it simple. Put together the general ideas floating around in your head and categorize them by topic category. This could be industry/business related, techniques you utilize, community relations, human interest stories and the fun that your team has while serving your customers. The variety of content is paramount in making your blog interesting. In this day and age, less is often more. Blogs do not need to be 1,000 or even 500 words. These articles need to get the point across as concisely as possible so they are not boring or distracting to the busy reader.
  2. Do not make the development of the blog too difficult for yourself. At the moment, I am speaking this blog into my phones voice recorder so that it can be transcribed and edited by my good buddy and partner, Nate. His fingers work at 10x the speed of mine on the keyboard so it not only is mocked up more quickly, it allows his ideas to be infused into the article before I formulate supporting pictures, video, links or other components for publication. The blog ideas are ping-ponged back and forth until ready to publish.
  3. Lastly, utilize a service, like Omnibeat, to help you with your blog. Once you have developed an idea and the written text with photographic or video components, hand this over to a professional to manage the layout of the blog as well as posting and linking other places such as an email blast or on LinkedIn page/groups you are engaged within or other social media platforms. This ensures the background aspects of the blog posting process are optimized.

With these three tips, I hope you will find the blog writing and publishing process much less paralyzing.

Cheers,

JZ

Digital Marketing Solution

January 14th, 2015 Posted by Business Development, Tools and Technology No Comment yet

Digital-Marketing-Solution-ImagenewAt Omnibeat we have made a couple of major shifts in the way that we service our clients through the years. The first one being that we initially thought that we could teach business leaders how to handle their online social media and content. In reality, they just won’t do it. Business owners are too busy running their business and are not going to learn, utilize and be consistent with utilizing social media strategies. With this we decided that instead of helping them to “catch the wave,” that we would “surf the wave” for them. This allows us showcase the client’s business with more consistency while building results and showing the client on a monthly basis how things are moving forward. The proper use of analytics allows us see how to steer the ship in the proper direction.

Digital-Marketing-Solution-Image-2-300x101The second realization was that we needed to offer more services than just social media. When a business is short on Social Media, they are typically weak on their website and other online presence aspects. A Digital Marketing Plan becomes a foundation that fully outlines all of the online marketing goals and tactics we will implement. This often includes an outstanding website with proper SEO, a blog, email marketing campaigns, updated online listings and then social media to enhance the more complete digital marketing strategy. This is work and is really exciting to be able to offer more services. This allows us to satisfy more professional services clients by ensuring their online presence provides positive credibility that matches their work and public persona.

If you are interested in having us review your online presence we would be happy to do so. Our review will provide you insight regarding your current situation and opportunities for improvement. Call us at 562-394-7090 or use our Contact Us form to request your company review.

Thank you,

JZ
